I’m caught up on pictures, having had a busy summer. It was all I could do to not get too far behind on those, and even at that, I was a good month behind most of the time. Writing just has not happened. It is now fall here. Last I updated my adventures, it was still spring! How time flies. What have I been up to? Here is the Coles notes version.
I’ll return to the CRVL get together, which is where I left off in my next post. But it was great fun, met new people, made new friends. Then I went off camping in Colorado, met up with some of the new friends too. I scurried back to Alberta, Canada, not wanting to use up too much of my winter time in the States. Spent a couple of days visiting friends in Lethbridge, then off to Calgary, ordering my folding kayak. My Grom motorcycle was ordered, but was going to be a while to get.
Upon getting the boat, I then moochdocked in Didsbury, helping a friend with some chores and building a gate for a parking spot there while I visit. I went up to Lac la Biche, spent some time helping around the lake cabin and up at the upper lot there, but had some good R&R there too! The folding boat is awesome. I managed a short trip of camping and one night of boondocking on the way back to Didsbury to finish the gate. I then went to Calgary, spending a long haul there with appointments, car sale, and finally getting my Grom motorcycle.
Another trip to Lac la Biche, back to Calgary for more appointments, then finally out for some boondocking in the foothills north west of Calgary. While doing that my furnace broke. I’ve got it fixed now, hopefully. That would be four months in a nutshell.
Currently I’m planning on heading down to the States no earlier than November 1st, preferably around the 15th. Weather and time allowed in the USA determine the date. In the meanwhile, I’ll circulate around southern Alberta/BC, seeing what I can see with some possible moochdocking with friends. Next post I’ll return to my May get together, going back in time, but catching up – I just may be less detailed about my coverage to catch up, we’ll see.
